Have you ever found that sometimes the looks that you don’t try as hard putting together end up looking the best? You may not mean to go for it, but you end up with this care-free look to your outfit that makes it that much more awesome. That’s how I felt when I saw this Fashionisto’s outfit.
I absolutely love the layered look, any time throughout the year. It’s the most convenient way to dress in my opinion! Start off with the perfect amount of layers, and add more or throw them off whenever you need to throughout the day. Your outfit is ever evolving until night time, letting you feel like you’re a million bucks the whole day because you have so many options!
This Fashionisto does layering, and he does layering right. His color choices reflect that of the oncoming weather; the palette is nothing too crazy to see, but incorporates more of the calm and cool colors. Sticking with these calming and neutral colors gives a relaxed feel to his outfit right off the bat.
He starts off with his blue and white washed T-shirt as the base of his layers. A simple T-shirt can really go a long way. My advice to all college Fashionistos/as out there is to always buy simple and timeless pieces that you know you can wear for seasons to come. Although it’s good to keep up with the trends, you should always have those pieces that you know are going to work for you whenever you feel like pulling them out. A plain T-shirt like the one seen here is the perfect example.
My favorite kind of layering during fall is hands down the hoodie and jean jacket look. You have the comfort of the hoodie touching your skin, with the coolness of the jean jacket for the world to see. The two combined are like a piece of art, waiting to be shown to the rest of the world! Throw on a pair of fitted black skinny jeans and you’re set for the rest of the day.
Hint: Another staple piece that I believe will be around for a while is a pair of classic Chuck Taylor’s. Whether you’re more of a hi-top person or go for the original look, these shoes are sure to be by your side for years to come.
