Let me introduce you to one of the most dapper fellas at The Fashion Institute of Technology. A Fashion Merchandising major, president of the American Marketing Association, wholesale intern at Marc Jacobs and let’s not forget the founder of personal style and menswear blog, One Dapper Street. Let us look at what he wears for one of the most important days of the school year (besides finals, of course)—the first day—as he shows up looking cool as ever with a new haircut.
We are approaching a new year, and all I can think about is the fall season and packing away summer vacation. This Fashionisto wore a classic outfit including this timeless blazer from Zara and Spadari striped shirt. Adding a striped shirt underneath a gray blazer really added some subtle detail that helped make a statement. I love how he paired the dark burgundy pants with the pastels and neutrals making the ensemble easily transitional into fall. You also cannot forget about the details and accessories because that’s what fundamentally completes any outfit. A pair of oxfords and a well-constructed leather backpack is totally essential in any individual’s closet – male or female. So be sure to get one here or here to keep up with the trend.
While trying to manage school, internships, student organizations and a blog—this Fashionisto undoubtedly shows up on campus effortlessly cool for his first day. “It’s FIT, so dressing up is a must for me,” he said during our encounter. So there you have it, from the one-man show himself.
Hint: What summer trends do you think will transition into this upcoming fall season? My personal favorite is pastels. It used to be the color palette your mother allowed you to wear only before Labor Day. But I think trends are changing and it’s time to push that expiration date a little bit further. If you haven’t already—pop some pastels into your wardrobe this upcoming season and watch the heads turn left and right.
