I am someone who truly believes in the quote: “less is more.” On rainy and windy spring days, there is nothing more appropriate than wearing a light sweater and jeans. Sometimes you don’t need the beanie, the scarf and the crazy patterned sweater to be fashionable. Keeping it to a minimum is one of the most admirable things a Fashionista/o can do. Not only is it classy and chic, but it is easy and effortless as well.
During a long school week, it’s usually tough to pick out an outfit, especially early in the morning. The best advice I can give you is to keep it simple. This Fashionisto did a great job of wearing a sleek blue gray sweater with a pair of dark denim jeans. The way he paired both of these colors together makes for a very sleek outfit. To top it off, he wore a pair of low-rise gray Ralph Lauren Polo sneakers. It’s a comfortable, easy outfit for any day of the week.
The reason this Fashionisto stuck out to me was because his successful use of the grayscale palette. Personally, I love the color gray. Whether it is paired with black, white, neon or even a bright and playful pattern, gray pulls together any outfit so nicely. His gray sweater was all he needed to put together a study friendly look without coming off as lazy or careless. With a black big-faced watch and a matching black backpack, this Fashionisto conquered his campus.
Hint: Add a small pop of color to any neutral toned outfit. It could be with a printed scarf, a patterned shoe or colored bottoms. Whatever the touch may be, don’t overdo it. Keep it simple and make it look chic, effortless and admirable.
