Despite all of the Christmas lights, trees and shopping, it has been especially hard for me to get into the spirit this year because the weather in Florida has been unrelentingly warm. It’s really hard to take the song “Winter Wonderland” seriously when you’re sweating uncontrollably. By simply putting on a festive printed sweater and adding some stand-out accessories, this Fashionisto instantly made me forget all about my weather woes.
I find myself wearing jackets and boots lately in hopes that, under my sheer rebelliousness, the weather will break down, say “Fine Aisha, you win” and decide to finally become chilly. It has yet to happen, but this Fashionisto decided to follow suit by opting for a sweater and jeans, regardless of the fact that it was a solid 80-degrees outside.
This Fashionisto wore a gray printed sweater and a pair of medium-wash jeans. He made this basic outfit his own by incorporating some bright accessories. His bold orange and tan rucksack stood out in the crowd and his gorgeous blue suede leather shoes looked amazing against his perfectly cuffed jeans. My favorite part about the ensemble is that his accessories corresponded flawlessly with the accent colors in his sweater.
Hint: Travel somewhere snowy this winter and bring an olive jacket with you. Olive is such a versatile color and goes well with anything from your gray printed sweater to a plaid button-up. This olive parka from J.Crew is lined with a cozy Sherpa material that will keep you feeling warm and looking fabulous in a cooler climate.
