Whether it’s in the form of jeans or jackets, in ordinary blues, crazy acid washes or dyes, a denim piece is living in every wardrobe. This season, you can throw on your denim for a casual comfort that is guaranteed to be on trend.
All of the major runways at Menswear Fashion Week for spring and summer 2013 had one thing in common, the denim jacket. From iconic and classic labels such as Valentino, Calvin Klein and Louis Vuitton to edgy, younger labels such as Acne and Dsquared2, the denim jacket ruled the runway. This Fashionisto has taken his inspiration straight from the runways and thrown together a laid back outfit, perfect for a long study day at the library. He pairs his denim jacket with a simple white T-shirt, mustard chinos and Dr. Martens. His ensemble is compiled of staple items that can each be taken separately and worn with other outfits. The jacket can be worn with any color bottoms for those brave enough to tackle the double-denim look and the mustard pants would make a great combination with blacks, reds or khaki greens.
Hint: Adapt the denim look for the summer by choosing the right shade. Pack away your dark denim, and bring in the pastels and light washes. You could even have fun with some wild prints! The possibilities are endless. Whatever you decide to do, make denim your best friend this season.
