Let's Hear it for the Boys

As the fall semester has slowly come to an end, we are getting ready to head home for winter break. This means traveling to near and far, taking planes or buses; whatever mode of transportation is convenient. While traveling may seem to be an excuse to throw on sweatpants and sneakers in order to stay comfy on a long trek home, that is not the case. One of my favorite things to do is travel in style, and I encourage you to the same.

I caught this Fashionisto on his way back home for the winter. For his train ride home, this Fashionisto chose to wear Levi Brand Jeans and a Polo Ralph Lauren button-down. This Fashionisto sports these comfortable, yet sophisticated pieces to avoid the typical sweatshirt and sweatpants look. He said that jeans and a button-down is his go-to travel wear, as they are simplistic yet they keep him looking presentable.

Bundled up for the cold winter weather, this Fashionisto tops off his travel look with a Kenneth Cole peacoat. Layering is important for traveling students, especially when it comes to transportation. As temperatures of places throughout your trip may vary, layering allows you to adapt from the cold of the airport terminal to the sweltering heat of the packed bus.

Whether you’re traveling 10 minutes or 10 hours home for the holidays, remember that it is possible to achieve both comfort and style with your travel attire!

Hint: Like this Fashionisto, wearing comfortable shoes is a must for traveling. Wearing funky shoes, like these SUPRA sneakers, can help you stay comfy and stylish even after being on your feet for hours.
