With the semester coming to an end and spring underway, I have been noticing a handful of colors and trends that have made their way from people’s fall wardrobe and incorporated them with spring pieces. One that has been recurrent this semester would definitely be the camouflage pant, but I figured I’d stop boring you guys with that. Besides, as a Style Guru I needed something fresh to keep my hope for trendy men on campus! This Fashionista did just that with this week’s look.
It’s inevitable for certain styles, colors and pieces to make their way from one season to the next and that is a great way to keep your wardrobe up to date, while on a budget; knowing how to take a piece and style it differently throughout the year is the way to go. I, personally don’t believe that things go out of style — it is just how you wear it. It’s the difference between a classic wardrobe and one that stays on trend, but with knowing how to mix and match your pieces it’s simple to achieve both. This Fashionisto successfully creates a well balanced casual look through creatively pairing classic pieces.
To start, I love that this Fashionisto gives a monochromatic look with his rust colored pants, and a similarly colored pair of boots. I like how they are tucked into his pant to give the illusion that they are lower cut, which makes the look more casual. The key to this outfit is definitely the powder blue tribal print sweater, which this Fashionisto did a great job of styling into a spring look. I’m sure this was a part of his fall wardrobe, paired with a dark pant. It’s always fun to wear prints because you can highlight any color from the pattern that you would like.
Using an analogous color scheme with bold print and light colors, this Fashionisto shows us how to takes a fall piece and transition it to a spring look.
Hint: For other ways to style tribal print, try a muscle tank with khaki shorts or a simple tribal print hat to complement a simple spring look.
