As I soak in all that Europe has to offer in fashion, my head starts spinning because there is just so much that I draw inspiration from in my own wardrobe. From the street strutters who look like they belong in a ’80s pop revival cover band, to the ones who could walk right out of a Diesel photo shoot, the one thing I like to think all these Fashionistos share in common is a tint of edge. When walking down busy streets you can’t help but feel a certain attitude that belongs to the nature of these city-goers. This attitude tends to translate directly into their style as well as rub off on my own personal style. As I unleash my inner rebel vibe in my own ensembles, I find myself gravitating to looks like this Fashionisto’s, where casual menswear meets edge and attitude.
This week’s Fashionisto walked with a demeanor which emanated the edge I was looking for. He sported a bold graphic T-shirt of The Who, paired with heather gray shorts, Ray-Bans and leather Chuck Taylors. There is nothing I love more than a pair of Converse All-Stars Chuck Taylors. Something about them scream cool and paired with a tee representing musical interest in English rock, there couldn’t be a more perfect balance of edge with comfort. Because of the bold Union Jack print, this Fashionisto knew just how to supplement his look with more muted tones with chestnut browns and grays.
Hint: Graphic tees are the perfect medium to create a statement in one’s look, so try a tank like this to make your look stand out.
