As a branch of art, it’s really hard to give a unified definition of what fashion is. To follow or not follow the trend could both be the definition of fashion. A really stylish person would never ever just simply follow the trend; more importantly, they create their own style. I admire people who have the courage to break the rules and express their own style. That’s what I love most about Austin is not its music scene, not the delicious barbecue, but the expression of difference that one will never judge.
When this Fashionisto passed by me, I felt my eyes light up. I was impressed by his creative collocation of boldly colored, casual pieces, which create a unique and stylish outfit. His white Ralph Lauren oxford classic fit shirt, buttoned to the neck, exudes a neat and classic look. His denim shorts are actually the spotlight of his outfit. This Fashionisto told me that he actually made these denim shorts himself! He creatively added the leopard print and pink spray paint on a pair of normal denim shorts to make it extraordinary.
Pink on the denim is not enough for this Fashionisto; his pink socks paired with his Stacy Adams loafers made his outfit even more extraordinary. If you look closely, you will see his Batman studs and his vintage brown leather watch. Together, these items made his look neat and classic with a little flair. He would definitely stand out in any crowd.
Hint: Don’t be afraid of the bright, “girly” colors like pink, yellow, baby blue, lime green and lavender, because there’s no gender among color. It’s never wrong to be creative and different.
