There are few things better than a warm summer night on State Street; it’s bustling with aspiring musicians, friends shopping and couples going out to eat. With this assortment of people available, a lot of great Fashionistos are at my disposal. So while personally on my way to dinner, it came as no surprise when I stumbled upon this guy in particular.
What caught my eye initially were his denim sneakers. I am well acquainted — and a frequent user — of the denim trend that has been on the scene for awhile now. But what was so interesting to me was the way he had his own spin on the trend. We saw everything from denim jackets to denim formal wear from Acne and even acid wash from Dsquared², but there was no denim sneaker to be seen on the runway this past season. That’s why I appreciate this Fashionisto’s choice of how to utilize this season’s denim trend. Completing his look, he wore a he wore a military-esque lilac shirt which added that summer feel to his outfit. Lilac, normally not a shade associated as a staple color for men, is actually a perfect way to add spice to your wardrobe without it being overbearing. Especially with the masculinity of a military style shirt, any Fashionisto would be able to pull of the softer hue. Start easing lilac into your wardrobe by getting this version from Express for Men.
Hint: When something like a denim trend happens and you are uncomfortable jumping in head first, try a smaller version. There’s no need to get a full denim suit right off the bat, so follow this Fashionisto and try something like shoes or perhaps a tie.
