LET’S HEAR IT FOR THE BOYS: Dead Week? Night Out!

Let's Hear it for the Boys

With finals looming ever closer and spring semester going by faster than the train that constantly cuts through College Station, a college student must celebrate in the last few days of pure relaxation or what I like to call “The Calm Before The Storm.”This phenomena occurs during dead week, a time where students have nothing better to do than to hangout with friends, go out to local bars and of course visit favorite restaurants before heading back to the library for finals week. I mean let’s be real, who could possibly handle being in the library for over two weeks! While I was personally putting down the books I spotted this stylish southern gent, wearing the perfect outfit for a night on the town.

Here College Station night time fashion can range from anything to slacks to pressed shorts, but the casual look displayed by this Fashionisto is my personal favorite. Button-down shirts are my preferred item to see wore while out on the town, because they give any guy a semi-dressed up look. Here this Fashionisto begins his own outfit with a Ralph Lauren green and blue plaid button-down, providing his top half with that put-together appearance. He then tucks in his shirt into a casual pair of bleached Wrangler Jeans, a staple item for almost any occasion here in Texas.

To aid in completing his tucked in look, this Fashionisto wears an almost western style brown belt similar to this Ariat belt. Tucking in a shirt adds in that extra formal element and remembering to add a belt is key to completing that desired look. On his feet he wears his “formal” boots, a clean pair of Lucchese boots. During demanding school days I typically decide to wear my worn tennis shoes almost every day, but going out is the perfect excuse to wear those slightly more expensive shoes YOU HAD TO HAVE. To top off this outfit, this Fashionisto sports a lime green pair of croakies attached to his Costa sunglasses. Before coffee breaks become your only form of daily social interaction, rejoice in all aspects of dead week while embracing in your own personal going out style.

Hint: Bar scene slightly more formal (and a lot less southern)? Trade out those bleached jeans for a nice pleated pair of slacks; you will still create a more “dressed-up” look perfect for a study free night out.
