Only a few weeks into fall semester, and I already wish it were summer again. Although summer break is over, one cannot help the sudden recollections of those summer days as they traveled afar, or to a nearby coast were they indulged on the summer heat as one plays a game of volleyball on the hot sand on the beach. Maybe some of us were blessed to travel abroad and experience an unforgettable summer. Nonetheless, we must move on from daydreaming in class. Yet, who said you can’t wear a piece of that summer’s past on you?
As I was heading to my car, I spotted this Fashionisto (a good friend of mine) who had the privilege of spending a summer traveling to Spain, France, Germany and Italy. As I was approaching him to catch up on his summer rendezvous, I could not help but notice his cozy, beige elbow patch cardigan as he roamed the hallway undaunted. I was curious as to where he got such a classic piece, and one such that any guy could easily incorporate into his outfit for those casual date nights with that special someone at that. He informed me that he purchased it from a shop in Italy. I was, of course, ecstatic to find out that it only cost him five Euros— the equivalent of seven US dollars. Talk about a steal! I gave him props for being a savvy shopper. This Fashionisto shows us that by incorporating a gray pair of Levi Brand Jeans and blue canvas Vans he is able to create an effortless look. Don’t forget to accessorize with a pair of your favorite shades, just like this Fashionisto wears his Maui Jim sunglasses.
Hint: Let’s say you are running late for school and want to impress that special someone? Well, just about any guy can pull this look off— trust me! Confidence is the key. To make this look your own opt for the type of shoes that you would most often wear whether that is Sperry Top-Siders, Converse All-Stars or even a pair of ALDO casual lace up shoes. Whatever your sense of style is, choose what makes you feel comfortable and confident.
