I don’t know about you, but spring break has been on my mind a lot lately. Midterms will be here before we know it, and then it’s off for a week of blissful relaxation. Unless, that is, you have more midterms immediately upon return like a certain someone I know. I think this Fashionisto’s outfit perfectly sums up potential spring break adventures. My serious case of wanderlust may be getting a bit too serious, but stick with me on this one.
This Fashionisto’s pants have a bit of an aqua tint to them; try going all out Mediterranean with a bold pair of chinos. Staring at your lap during class serves such a higher purpose when you’re envisioning rolling waves rather than avoiding the professor’s piercing gaze after a question is asked and not a hand is in sight. Those desert boots sure seem to evoke visions of towering Saguaro cacti. Head out to Arizona and take a road trip from Phoenix to the Grand Canyon; be sure to make pit stops at Sedona and Flagstaff. Stunning views and one of the coolest towns await you. On the other end of the spectrum, if you haven’t had enough snow (believe me, I have), hit up Breckenridge for some killer slopes with a heavy-duty hat and scarf set in tow. Care to perfect your Australian accent? Brave the outback in a utilitarian cargo jacket. And if you plan to stick around your own stomping grounds, grab any of these pieces and do some exploring in your own jungle, be it concrete or suburban.
Hint: If you do decide to go with bold trousers, stick with basics for the rest of your outfit. Add a little cuff at the bottom, throw on a vintage tee, grab your favorite kicks and you’re good to go.
