That awkward moment when you prepare for a standard 50-degree day and get struck my a heat wave upon walking outside. It’s safe to say you can expect any kind of bizarre weather this Southern fall season. The question is, “How does one dress comfortably for a June day in November?”
As I was asking myself this very question, while tackling the humidity in a black pullover sweater nonetheless, this Fashionisto crosses my path. We stop to chat and in his lightly layered outfit, he sheds some cooling light on this boiling situation.
Regardless of the temperature, November is still a fall season. Although tempted, this Fashionisto refuses to submit to wearing shorts and opts for regular wash denim more appropriate for autumn. He does show minor celebration by rocking Rainbows that were in previous closet hibernation.
A soft blush tone shirt with a cashmere feel couldn’t have been a better choice for this Fashionisto’s top. The color is warm and inviting and the airy light-weight fabric keeps him comfortably cool on campus.
Rather than a backpack, a satchel is thrown over the shoulder and completes his weather-driven look. Durable corduroy keeps his belongings safe inside and visually stimulates the look with its beige complementary color.
Hint: Pastel tints of warm colors are great for fall outfits, especially when it comes to layering. Substitute them in for neutral grays and browns once and a while to freshen up your look. If one layer isn’t enough, the addition of an open cardigan sweater can keep you warm and still expose the color underneath.
