In 2012, Austin was voted one of the top ten fittest cities in America and its population continues to reflect this rating. Not only are there various scenic routes to take a jog or a bike ride, but there are several trendy workout studios that focus on fresh workouts for the young up-and-coming entrepreneurs and students that reside in the city. Around the UT campus in particular, students are always dressed like they are ready to go for a quick run or can be spotted riding their bikes to and from classes. I have found that those who are brave enough to ride their bikes on campus, dodging pedestrians at all times, are usually the ones with the most well-put outfits, and this Fashionisto is no exception.
Even though this Fashionisto is not dressed in biking shorts, he sports the ideal outfit for a bike ride to class on a sunny day. He remains professional whilst still keeping in mind a fashion forward wardrobe. His lightly shaded pastel blue Penguin button-down lightly patterned with glasses and a purple skinny tie say business while his cuffed jeans and Clarks exude a much more relaxed look. His orange digital watch augments a fun twist to the entirety of his look. This Fashionisto’s side bag is reminiscent of a seat belt and works as the quintessential cycling bag. He opts for an unusual pair of Clarks that look like moccasins, yet still have the aura of the classic desert boot. This active Fashionisto doesn’t need to wear sportswear to remain moving and on the go.
Hint: Mix business wear with everyday clothes for a more elegant look. Wearing cuffed well-fitted jeans with a button-down or wing-tipped brogues can always amp up a boring outfit into a eye-catching look.
