I stumbled upon a futuristic punk-inspired take on men’s fashion, as I read up on collections in Vogue. Richard Nicoll’s fall/winter 2013 collection presented style with an edge to it. His beanies portrayed an industrial and modernized look for the average punk/rock fan. Other highlighted aspects within his collection were oversized leather jackets and tight-fitting pants. Overall, though, this collection was classic, timeless.
This Fashionisto, from his perspective, exemplified Richard Nicoll’s collection. He accessorized his ensemble in two ways. He wore a set of beaded bracelets, which added personality to this look. He also wore a beanie, like Nicoll’s collection. It saved him time from having to do his hair, besides helping him stay warm, because let’s face it, sometimes you don’t know what to do with your hair! Try to hide your bed-head–problem solved–by wearing a fashionable beanie or skull cap.
The rest of his outfit was inspired by tribal patterns. His sweater ultimately stood out from underneath his oversized leather jacket because of its print. Etsy is good place to look for similar tribal printed sweaters. This Fashionisto finished off his look with a pair of laced-up shoes that were a little rough around the edges, which made them perfect for a vintage-inspired look.
Hint: Obey is a great brand of hats and beanies. The different designs and patterns cater to edgy styles, as well as, softer looks. Aside from hats and beanies, accessorize with bags and jewelry. Check ALDO out for beaded bracelets and body bags that spice up your everyday outfit.
