Sometimes, your go-to outfit isn’t actually an outfit at all, but rather, a strategically chosen accessory. I usually sport a pretty lazy look: black leggings, boots and a generic looking overcoat. But when I throw on my club master glasses and leopard print backpack, I feel empowered by what I’m wearing. Through these small items, I achieve a sense of edginess that would otherwise not be there, even if I’m going to spend my weekend in the library or sweat it out at the gym.
This Fashionisto understands and practices that principle quite well. His outfit alone, albeit extremely clean and sharp, is something that college males frequently wear. Khakis and a simple black peacoat is a very easy combination to put together. His choice of accessories, however, transforms his outfit from an ordinary combination into something that looks far more meticulously thought out.
The pictured Fashionisto has a blue rucksack backpack that distinguishes him from the masses of other college males. I have personally always been a fan of the rucksack style backpack, specifically the ‘Little America’ backpack from Herschel Supply Co. Quite ubiquitous on college campuses, these bags are both practical as they are trendy. Fashionistos and Fashionistas alike immediately exuberate their consciousness for what they wear through this accessory choice— especially this Fashionisto who radiates confidence through his smile as well. He then adds a nice closing touch to his outfit with his Vans that complement his blue rucksack and gray chinos.
Hint: The small things truly do matter. Invest your money in accessories that you will feel confident rocking on a daily basis.
