The first day of the spring season was technically on March 20th. In northeast Ohio however, we are accustomed to only having a week or two of nice spring days and then the summer heat is upon us until early September. It can be difficult to figure out the perfect outfit for those weird days in between. These days could include, but are not limited to being around 65 degrees with rain and gusts of wind, but also an hour or two of sun. Like I said, it’s hard to figure out what to wear!
But this Fashionisto has pulled it off. I am a sucker for anything maroon and I loved his skinny maroon jeans to protect him from the rain and wind. Instead of pairing these awesome pants with just a plain shirt, he opted for a thin long sleeve shirt with a small tribal print pattern on it to help draw attention to his outfit. I also love this black and white shirt from Urban Outfitters, which could be worn with non-colored skinny jeans.
One of my most important tips for dressing for weird weather days is to invest in an awesome pair of sneakers. This Fashionisto wore some awesome gray and white sneakers, which are great because they will look nice with pretty much any outfit. I personally love wearing Converse shoes in the rain and they last for years!
Hint: For those days that are a little cooler than 65 degrees, try layering with a sweater. Or if it’s really raining hard and you are not one for traditional raincoats, go for a trench coat like this one from Topman and don’t forget an umbrella!
