When people think spring, they think of white and bright colors. But don’t let the spring fever let you pack up your basic black pieces just yet! This season is all about bringing the dark into the light by mixing black and white together. As seen on the most recent spring runway shows, black and white are the colors of the season!
This Fashionisto caught my eye in his all black attire. My first thought was: “wow isn’t he going to be hot in that?” Since New York has finally been getting nice weather. Then I thought, “Wow, he looks so cool and on trend!” So it was meant to be, he was going to be my last Fashionisto featured for the semester!
His outfit explains itself, all black and cool street attire. He rocked a black and white graphic T-shirt with a pair of black chino shorts. To match with black, he added, you guessed it—more black! Instead of wearing his hat on his head, he made it more of an accessory and snapped his trucker hat onto his belt loop. Cool right? To keep his look sporty, he wore Nike basketball sneakers with matching crew socks.
He kept his accessories light on his wrist with a watch, a few bracelets and a ring. Since he was going for a more casual look, minimal accessories are a good choice.
As spring comes to a close, don’t be afraid to wear black! (A New Yorker’s’ favorite color is black, so I know you all have black in your closet.) Black is not only meant for the cold winter months anymore, it’s meant to be worn all year round!
