Finally! A consistent spring temperature! The only downside may be the windy and somewhat chilly mornings. So how do you dress for that early morning class when you know the temperature will rise when you leave? We could all steal a rule or two from this Fashionisto’s handbook!
Long-sleeved henleys and thermals may seem like a winter essential, and they are, but they’re also perfect for transitioning from winter to spring. This winter seemed to never leave so parting with those warm weather pieces will probably be rather easy—but keep these ones around! You can find these in nearly any store and any color, pattern, or material. This Fashionisto chose stripes on top, but you could easily work in a basic solid color, or even try a hoodie style of it.
With something heavy on top, it makes sense that something light and airy should be on the bottom. The rolled up shorts are a trend that can look good with whatever is on top. In this case, the rolls make the shorts more laid-back and casual, to swing together the perfect hybrid ‘not quite summer’ ensemble. We love the dusty green shade that matches the stripes. Chubbies is a brand that specializes in the borderline ‘short shorts’ for males. Some of their patterns and colors are vibrant and eye-catching and can be really fun to play around with.
This Fashionisto completes his look with shoes that are a cross between a moccasin and a boat shoe. The ruggedness of the shoe complements the look well and does it without clashing or looking out of place. The neutral camel color is the best color pairing the Fashionisto could have done.
Hint: The look can be done vice versa with jeans or pants on the bottom with a tank top on top to balance out the fluctuating daily temperatures!
