FASHIONISTA SPOTLIGHT: Aisol Casillas

Fashionista Spotlight

The end of the semester is finally here and students are beginning to trickle away from campus for the next four weeks of break. While campus may be dead, the restaurants and coffee shops around campus are still thriving, especially since many new places plan to open up around the new year. This Fashionista had just left a work meeting and was about to apply for a new apartment to move into next semester. Even though she was in a hurry and the cold front brought in some nasty wind, she still pulled off this style quite effortlessly.

Name: AIsol Casillas

Major: Finance

Year: Senior

CollegeFashionista: What are you wearing today?

Aisol Casillas: I am wearing an orange pea coat from Old Navy, blue sheer button-down with a beaded collar from Marshalls, the gray sweater is my boyfriend's, black BCBG slacks, Sam Edelman loafers and Michael Kors sunglasses.

CF: What influences your style choices?

AC: I absolutely love Victoria Beckham's style, she always looks extremely beautiful and effortless with her style choices. I also find inspiration in Olivia Palermo. I find myself staying up way too late looking up her many different style choices.

CF: Are there any items you have had you eye on for the winter season?

AC: I've always had my eye on a Louis Vuitton Speedy bag, I have yet to justify purchasing one at the moment though. I'll most likely buy a couple more pairs of colored denim and some simple black pumps. I usually just enjoy going to the store and finding good deals, so whatever catches my eye really.

How To: Even during the winter time, don't be afraid to brighten things up a bit. While gray scales are prominent in winter clothing, pops of color and big accessories can always make or break an outfit. Collared necklaces are a huge accessory for this fall/winer and will easily carry into the spring/summer. Try places like H&M and Topshop for detachable collars.
