Upon spotting this Fashionisto strolling along the streets of Muncie, the singular thought that flooded my brain was: “Everyone in college needs to dress like that.” The experimental nature of a collegiate student is expressed in his combination of the All-American prep school style with a quirky, vintage vibe. Footwear is always the true test of style when it comes to a fashion-minded individual, and this Fashionisto certainly has it right with a pair of saddle shoes.
Long walks across campus to class make a pair of flat shoes essential. No matter how many times I convince myself that wearing four-inch wedge boots to class is a good idea, my blistered feet are always clad in a pair of heel-less chucks by the end of the day. Saddle shoes have a low heel and an old-fashioned charm that suits a college student perfectly. Pair them with fun socks to add a quirky twist on the classic shoe.

Except UGG boots — they do not make any belt colors to match UGG boots, so simply do not wear them.

The only dresses that should not be worn with saddle shoes are those with a hemline above fingertip length.
