Hello fellow Fashionistas! I can’t believe I’m down to my final semester at University of Toronto, four blissful years of Canadian fashion have made it a pleasure. While the pressure is on to keep those marks up and library visits frequent, there will be no faltering in the fashion department for me. While I may not define myself by what I put on each morning I do feel like what I wear is a type of armor preparing my mind for the enjoyable battle on campus. For me, fashion is an outlet of creative style and a challenge as I putter around trying different elements of the fashion world. I’ve never stopped playing dress up.
I would describe my style as Malibu bohemian meets British charm. I like to embrace my inner hippy every now and then but never at the cost of breaking any of the Audrey rules. Lady-like class trumps all at the end of the day. My grandmother is one of my biggest fashion inspirations. She secretly is a magpie at heart and will never pass up the chance to wear sequins or sparkles which I think is endearing. Her staple accessory is a hydrangea flower on the side of her hair, finished of with a glowing smile which is a winning look.
I am a frequent bargain hunter and will never turn up my nose to nearly-new clothes but I do believe a girl does need to invest in some solid staple classics that should last a life time. When in doubt slap some lipstick on and walk out that door with your head held high. Cinderella is proof that a new pair of shoes can change your life!
