STLYE ADVICE OF THE WEEK: The Fleece-Lined Friend

Style Advice of the Week

The sun is out, the snow is glistening and the air is fresh. I bumped into this Fashionista on her way to yoga class looking bright-eyed, bushy tailed and ready for downward dog. While hot yoga is a welcomed activity when the outside temperatures are well below zero, there is no escaping the Canadian winter. Why not embrace it instead? Crunching along in the snow in her SOREL winter boots, lululemon tights, Zara winter coat, stylish eyewear and cute knit headband she kept a foolproof, winterized look. Tights, you may say, are not enough for your legs in the battle against the wind, but check out these fleece-lined beauties or this more causal style. The soft, warm fleece hugs your legs in the cold, blocking even the bitterest of days.

As Canadians, even though we have both hot and cold seasons, I feel most people have been a bit wimpy this winter. We haven’t had to deal with that much snow, and yet I haven’t even had a chance to break out my snow pants! Snowmageddon came, and I am prepared to face the elements while looking stylish. Winter boots have evolved since I was a child; fashionable warm footwear is now a trend. SOREL boots and Hunters that are lined are great options that will protect your feet from the slush, ice and snow; they give stylish heels a run for their money. Fashion doesn’t stop at the boots either. Lumberjack socks are no longer just for burly men, as they serve a great purpose to all toes. These socks are basically a Canadian must-have, and you can find them anywhere that sells socks. Enjoy the snow Toronto Fashionistas!
