Green with envy of that coat? (Sorry for the pun, but not really.) While winter coats have become a staple now, there's no reason to have the winter blues in terms of the style of your coat. I see way too many black coats in the winter and maybe that is a reflection of how everyone is feeling, but I will continue to add a bit of colour to my wardrobe despite the gloom and doom that besets us throughout the winter solstice. I have seen a few cheery red pea coats and while they are quite festive, I like this Fashionista's green coat because it's a unique colour. Her cute fur trimmed gloves are super sweet to finish off a cozy and stylish winterized look. Anthropologie always has really elegant yet funky winter coats.
I came across this Fashionista after finishing an early morning class and finally getting to stretch my legs. Lately with the cooler weather moving in, it's been harder to get to the gym and get a workout in. Winter running isn't my favorite so I usually resort to gym sessions while I hibernate indoors. It is an extra effort to wake up that much earlier to get to the gym before class, but in the end you feel so much better for doing so. I even decided to brave the pool this week. I anticipated feeling like a penguin jumping into ice water, but once I started swimming it was fine and my body was thankful for finally getting to move. Finding a gym partner or even gym date will help keep you accountable for going on a regular basis. I find that if I don't make any goals to motivate me it's harder to make that commitment to the sweatbox. So whether it's gearing up for all those spring runs you've always wanted to sign up for or just fit into that New Year's Eve dress, make a goal for yourself and stick to it. You don't have to wait until January to make a resolution — beat the crowd and start now. Fashion still lives on in the gym, too. You can work that super sporty chic look. Take Sporty Spice, for example. The girl rocked it.
Put together a gym bag with all your essentials: cute workout outfit, runners, water and a small cosmetic bag with travel size everything (shampoo, conditioner, body butter, etc). While you can be a weather warrior and brave the elements and hit the outdoors for a run, there are alternatives for the sissies. Hot yoga, anyone?
