Alright, so my tan is gone. The summer radiance has come and gone, knowing it is no longer welcome during the coming winter months. Of course there is a way to cheat the system without looking like an oompa loompa or the other extreme — Casper (although if you're going for a Halloween look that might be alright). This Fashionista has the perfect natural look of healthy, glowing skin and thankfully not looking like a Miami Beach junkie. There is a fine art to putting on bronzer. It can either be done very elegantly (take note of the picture) or can unfortunately go terribly wrong with streaky orange marks. The safer route is powder bronzer rather than gels or crèmes which can change your skin’s natural cell structure. We know that you are not going anywhere near a tanning bed. No matter how cold it is outside, stay away!
Powder bronzer can be applied over blush with a light dusting all over the face. Start at the cheek bones and work your way up to the temples. Remember, less is more. Using bronzer is one of the main beauty mishaps most girls have as they don’t know how to properly apply it. Here is a great YouTube tutorial that goes over the steps. Apparently, it doesn’t come that easily to everyone! The trick for picking out a shade is choosing one that is close to your natural pigment and not a shade that is too dark or light and makes you look a different race. Also avoid glittery bronzers. They really don’t look good on anyone, except maybe Zac Effron.
