WHAT TO WEAR: Greek Life

What to Wear

Spring is right around the corner, and so is Rush for fraternities and sororities. I spotted this Fashionisto on his way to pledge night; I couldn’t help but admire his attire. I haven’t had this much fun photographing a Fashionisto! Not only was his style impressively on-point for a night as a potential fraternity brother, but his easy-going personality and jokes definitely guaranteed him a Bid Day spot.

When Fashionistos go through the Greek pledge process, it is important that they uphold their best version of themselves. If Fashionistos are always true to themselves, they will undoubtedly find their best-fitting fraternity. This Fashionisto’s ensemble gave great tips on how guys should dress to impress. Make sure you wear an ensemble you feel comfortable and confident in, when you have to dress up for a function, such as a fraternity pledge night. He sported a bow tie, instead of the typical tie. This simple change helped him stand out amongst the other pledges. His eye-catching accessories were great conversation starters for his future fraternity brothers. Whether you’re pledging for a sorority of fraternity, select key statement pieces. They’ll help you in more ways than one!

The layering of his button-down shirt, sweater and sports coat created a dashing combination. A sports coat is a must-have piece for guys who need to dress up. Try a tweed sports coat, so it can be used as a casual option, too. Fashionistos, step away from wearing your pair of jeans for the night, instead, wear a pair of khaki or corduroy pants. The pairing of his pants with his boots showed this Fashionisto’s personality. Don’t forget that clothes say a lot about who you are, so wear pieces that bring out your confidence.

One Simple Change: Lose the sports coat and bow tie for a casual look, which are better suited to be worn to class or meetings with your professors.
