LET’S HEAR IT FOR THE BOYS: Wrap It Up

Let's Hear it for the Boys

It’s finally, actually, officially starting to feel like fall in Tuscaloosa. Not just freezing-in-the-morning-then-sweating-in-the-afternoon weather but mid-fifties-to-sixties-all-day sweater weather. And this means one thing to me, scarves. Over the years I’ve amassed quite a collection of these stylish neck warmers; some light and airy, others for when it gets chillier.

My personal favorites are knitted, chunky and can cover half your face if you need it to so of course I had to stop this week’s Fashionisto when I saw that knitted cream and crimson goodness wrapped around his neck. Of course we can’t neglect the other pieces of his outfit. He’s wearing a dark grey sweatshirt that looks stylish, not sloppy because of its slim fit and thick fabric. Great for layering over T-shirts for fall then under heavier jackets in the winter. He paired the sweatshirt with dark-wash jeans with some fading detail that are also in the slim-cut style. He also rolled the cuffs a little to add a neat touch and to show off his great shoes. I’ve noticed that these shoes have been very popular around campus for guys who want to be comfortable walking to class but don’t want to compromise their style by wearing tennis shoes. You can find similar shoes here. He tops it all off with cool sunglasses, his iPod and of course his backpack. All necessities for getting to class that happen to be stylish too.

Hint: Get cozy. If you haven’t already, now is the time to start pulling out your coziest fall pieces. Sweaters, boots, socks and you guessed it, scarves.
