Patterned tights have been a trend for a while now, and it seems that it is one that is here to stay. I think this trend has stuck around for so long because of the many different directions you can take it. Retailers offer a plethora of patterns that range from floral to polka dot and too many to name in between. This trend has also stayed popular because it is inexpensive. Most people don’t want to spend most of their money on trendy items because they’re stuck with it after it becomes unpopular; but something that costs around twenty dollars is much easier to justify buying than a trendy bag or shoe that is much more expensive.
This Fashionista created an edgy work-look with her patterned tights. Aft first, I didn’t notice the spider web pattern because, at a glance, it looks like a fishnet pattern, but when I examined her outfit further I was pleasantly surprised! When you think about it, these tights are extremely versatile. Okay, maybe versatile isn’t the first word you think of with spider web patterned tights, but hear me out! The muted color makes it appropriate for work, as our lovely Fashionista demonstrates, but they are also edgy and fun enough to wear to a concert or just going out with friends.
Anther great accessory this Fashionista is rocking are her lace-up boots. These would be perfect for stomping around the snow in style. Once again, her boots are an edgier addition, but she softens them up with a more demure coat.
Spotted: Chloé showed patterned tights in her fall 2008 RTW collection, and the trend is still going strong!
