I was so excited when I came across this Fashionista on campus. From her braided hairdo to her beaded jewelry, she was rocking a bohemian-chic look. This style is often familiarized with celebrities like Nicole Richie and Vanessa Hudgens. The boho look is great year round, but especially in the summer when fun prints, maxis, and fringe all reemerge on the fashion scene!
What makes this Fashionista’s look stand apart from the rest are the bold denim shorts and retro lace-up shoes. Fashionista/os everywhere have been playing up the bold colors this season, and I applaud this Fashionista for pairing the boldness of these electric blue cut-offs with a floral print knit. To top things off, this week’s Fashionista added a few simple neutral accessories, including a chocolate colored cross-body satchel. A satchel is perfect for casual summer days.
Here’s the thing about this bohemian-chic style: people either embrace it with open arms or they shy away from it, not knowing where to draw the line between fashionable and hippie.
