When you are a Fashionista, every day is a fashion show and your college campus is the runway. In this fashion show, you are both the model and designer so you control what will be your look of the day. I admired this Fashionista’s style because it reminded me of an outfit I would put together. After a busy week of classes, work and meetings, this is an adorable look that requires little effort.
As a Style Guru, I always find it important to accessorize a simple look. If your outfit is lacking accessories it can look incomplete. This Fashionista chose a cute pair of shades and an adorable tote bag but nothing stands out more than her striped jeans. Printed jeans make quite a statement and these bold black and white ones do just the trick. Whether it’s horizontal or vertical, stripes have been a trend seen throughout every season. These Urban Outfitters stripped leggings are similar to the pants this Fashionista has on.
The challenge to printed clothing is finding accessories to match. Too many patterns and prints in one look can ruin an outfit. This Michael Kors tote bag is a nice neutral colored bag like the one this Fashionista has. Maybe I’m a little biased because Michael Kors is one of my favorite designers but this bag is perfection. Tote bags are a great alternative to carrying a bookbag or purse. It is always very important to have a reliable tote bag for all my belongings.
College requires enough work so do not stress about accessories! You can never go wrong by sticking to the basics. Remember that sometimes it is best to keep it simple.
