I'm enthralled to be back for a semester filled with chunky boots and fabulous blazers. I’m Kayla and this will be my second semester writing for CollegeFashionista. After reporting from the center of the heat wave, Tallahassee, this summer, I will be more than happy to locate those fall trends that you have been admiring while thumbing through your latest Elle or Glamour. Florida State University flaunted the latest and most excellent trends on campus this past season such as maxi dresses and high-wasted shorts therefore I will be delighted to be representing my fashionable Seminoles again. Me being a little bit bias there.
As I get closer to the “real world” and in desire to achieve my dreams, I am honored to spend my junior semester remaining as a CollegeFashionista. Continuing my studies to obtain degrees in Editing, Writing and Mass Media and Retail Merchandising I hope to excel at a magazine or blog one day. I’m from the Jacksonville, Florida where most of my high school time was spent being devoured in fashion magazines on the beach after school. This happened to formulate my eclectic style and fashion forward visions. I love to be seen in my Ray-Bans, a lengthy skirt, and handmade unique pieces such as bohemian stone rings or simplistic gold necklaces.
Nowadays living in the college town, Tallahassee, my free time is valuable. I spend my days working at Fuel a Salon, a hair salon that has acquainted me with hairstyles seen on the runway. Realizing the parallel between fashion, hair, makeup and nails the salon has contributed to my knowledge of the industry. So make sure you're looking fashionable in every which way my fellow classmates, I'll be looking out!
