Greetings from Barcelona! I arrived earlier this week and it seems as if Barcelona is already taking its victims. I am not sure if I am cut out for this lifestyle. This week my attention span and the multiple orientation tours have not been cohesive, but I cannot wait for what the rest of the semester has to offer. Although it is only my fifth day, I have managed to get lost and realize that the streets signs in Barcelona are far from ideal. All of my roaming around Barcelona has allowed me to see street fashion that I have only dreamt of before. It is unreal. Through my program, I have met different people throughout America, which seems to be another learning experience in itself. I spotted this Fashionista outside my school the other day and could not get over this little denim number.
The demin craze has been all over the fashion map within the past couple of years. I was personally a little hesistant at first about this trend. I believe that it is not going anywhere and can be used in a variety of ways, such as oversized vests, rompers, slouchy shorts, maxi skirts and dresses. Designers who love this craze include Armani. This denim trend is something that we all should partake in because of its ability to be dressed up and down in a seamless fashion. When talking to this Fashionista, I could not believe that she spent a mere $5 on it at a thrift store in New York City. The most expensive item this Fashionista is wearing is her TOMS shoes. This denim dress is orchestrated in a casual yet chic manner. I believe that many of us can follow her sense of fashion in order to ensure a comfortable yet chic ensemble while abroad.
