My name is Katherine Kerr and I am a freshman at Indiana University. My love of apparel and design has led me to major in Apparel Merchandising with minors in Business Marketing and Fashion Design.
I love fashion because it allows you to state who you are and what you’re about without saying a word. Fashion is a way to exert a certain feeling or attitude that you want others to pick up on. I love the way these attitudes and feelings evolve into the trends we see every day on our campuses.
Personally, I am drawn towards minimalism and simplicity in my own wardrobe. However, I love seeing the way others put together an outfit in a way that takes thought and skill. I am especially excited to see how Indiana University Fashionistas/os execute their looks in exciting and innovative ways.
I look forward to being a part of CollegeFashionista and being able to write for the WHAT TO WEAR section this semester. Not only am I excited to learn more about style and trends myself, but I am also excited to be able to share what I find with all of you!
