Fur vests. You know, those things you see models rocking on the runway that you just stare at and say, “wow, I wish I could pull that off.” Well listen up Fashionistas — this season you can. All you need is a cute T-shirt and a little bit of confidence to successfully execute this trendy look. Not only does a fur vest make you the most cuddly person in the room (hello cute boys!), but it also keeps you toasty and looking as cute as ever.
This Fashionista caught my eye because not only was she sporting a fabulous fur vest, she also had on my favorite color denim for this season — oxblood. So cute! A fur vest can easily be paired with colored denim and a simple tee for a relaxed, yet incredibly stylish look. I’m a huge animal lover so obviously I opt for faux fur just as this Fashionista did. Although you’ll rarely hear this coming out of my mouth, when it comes to fur: faux is the way to go!
Because fur tends to take center stage it’s usually best to stick to minimal jewelry and other accessories in order to allow the fur to have the attention it deserves. I honestly just can’t get enough of this trend! I’ve always had a love for this furry fad but I never had the guts to rock one myself until this season — big shout out to my INCREDIBLE mom for that one, it’s safe to say she rocks.
Another reason that I love fur vests is because they are so easy to transition from day to night! Throw on a tee and some jeans or leggings during the day like our featured Fashionista, then simply add heels, a cute top, and a bold lip before you hit the town — so chic! It’s hard not to notice someone when they’re rocking this trend so prepare to be complimented, pet, and of course, envied. I can’t say that I didn’t envy this week’s Fashionista when I spotted her on the sidewalk!
You can snag a super affordable fur vest at Forever 21, or hit up Nordstrom if you’re looking to make more of an investment. Either way, it’s safe to say that you’re going to look fabulous.
