I've come to think that hats are the best accesory yet. They're perfect for the worst case scenarios, for example, if you woke up late for class and didn't have time to brush your hair, but you still want to look kind of cute for class, you can simply toss on a fedora. Another example, if you just got out of the shower and you have run a quick errand but you don't want to be caught with wet hair, you can quickly throw on a beanie. It's the perfect solution to hair woes and luckily it's a staple this fall.
I spotted this Fashionista leaving her early morning class with a friend. She styled her fedora perfectly for the fall with a denim shirt, dark jeans and riding boots. She said she was debating whether to wear the hat to class but I believe she made an excellent choice. That's the thing so great aboout hat's, you can pull it off with just about anything. You can wear one with a dress or with jeans and a t-shirt; it all depends on what type of hat you wear. For example, baseball caps are more for the casual days, where you may just be running errands on a Saturday morning. Fedoras are more of a statement piece, adding a touch of boldness to your ensemble, just like it did for this Fashionista.
So Fashionistas, stock up on some cute hats for the fall. It does not have to be a fedora, but you have many options that may coincide with your personal style such as beanies, berets, cloches, ascot caps and even baseball caps. They can be used to add a pop of color to your ensemble, give you a more masculine flair to a feminine look or just be a good cover up for a bad hair day.
Never worry about not being trendy; hats have never been out of style. But remember to always embrace and represent your personal style.
