I dream of the city, sleep on a pile of shoes, and bathe in Chanel. My name is Joscelyne and I am ALIVE. Running in the rain, reading Vogue under a tree during a sunny day, waking up at 6AM and getting dressed to the melody of birds singing outside my bedroom’s window: these are some of the most beautiful things I experience throughout my days. My days are fulfilling because I choose to make them so. I not only find beauty in nature, but I also have a passion for fashion.
I am a small-town girl with a vision of a big future within the Fashion industry. Fashion is fascinating because it turns an essential part of our daily lives – getting dressed – into a form of art. Not only is fashion a creation of fabrics with different colors and patterns but also something empowering that gives you options of what to wear or not. Besides, fashion is so wonderful, who wouldn’t want to play dress-up as a therapy after a long gloomy day? Or who wouldn’t want to buy a pair of high heels to make it all better? I am telling you, it is the best confidence booster and a shot of happiness. Disagree with me? Try it yourself; when not feeling your best, wear your tallest pair of stilettos, point your nose towards the sky and say to yourself “I am smart, beautiful and nothing will ruin my day today or any other day.” –You will feel like you can rule the world.
In simple words, I love all things pretty and would love to share this passion by writing for “All About Beauty” at CollegeFashionista this semester. I am thrilled to have the opportunity to capture University of Arizona’s Fashionista/o’s most creative hair do’s, beautiful makeup, manicures/pedicures, sun-kissed tans, rosy cheeks, gorgeous fabrics, and anything else that might catch my eye. So, if you want your picture taken, just be yourself — be beautiful. My camera is like a magnet to confidence, and a confident Wildcat is one of the things that goes on my beauty list.
