My job as a Style Guru started during the summer of 2012, I stayed with CollegeFashionista for the following fall semester and here I am again! This internship has given me a unique experience that I would not have been able to find elsewhere. Taking pictures of students around my campus has helped me in many ways; being encouraged to compliment other students’ outfits and taking their pictures is definitely something that I wouldn’t normally do. What I mostly love about being a Style Guru for CollegeFashionista is that I am contributing to University of Arizona’s fashion history by recording the distinct styles of everyday college students.
Today’s fashion world does not only consist of supermodels and fashion designers; it involves everyone. Every individual has his or her own unique style that reflects a part of his or her personality, background, culture and/or way of life. Being a Style Guru gives me the opportunity to take into account and appreciate the time, effort and creativity invested within University of Arizona’s Wildcats. I, along with the rest of U of A’s Style Gurus, will do my best to capture all of these students’ fashionable wardrobes!
