As the cold weather sets in, black becomes every Fashionisto’s go-to color. All too often I see Fashionistas/os go straight for dark neutral colors when purchasing their heavy winter attire; these shades are so easy because they match with everything. But why not be daring and add a pop of color in the mix? Just because it’s winter doesn’t mean you have to be dull and colorless!
I spotted this Fashionisto’s bright red pants from a distance and was immediately impressed by his bold style choice. Not only was he brave enough to wear eye-catching red pants in the middle of January, but he looked fashionable pairing them with a fitted peacoat. As he walked closer I noticed the special details in his outfit: a unique patch on the left shoulder of his basic black jacket, a pair of classic sunglasses and an over-the-shoulder Calvin Klein messenger bag. He has great taste and looks very put together. He wears the perfect blend of black and color.

I personally am obsessed with this affordable peacoat from Target and this pair of red jeans from Express. Accessorize your outfit with a pair of cool kicks in a neutral color. This Fashionisto chose black sneakers with an ankle strap and faux leather detailing. To complete your look, add a sophisticated watch. Not only will you look professional, but you’ll also be on time to class.
So take note from this Fashionisto and don’t be afraid to be bold this winter! Adding color to your wardrobe will only make you stand out as the fearless Fashionisto that you are.
Hint: Red seems too bold for you? Try pants in a color that’s a bit more neutral, such as green or light blue.
