Rank & Style is currently looking for Site Merchandising Interns to start in their Austin office in late May/early June.
The site merchandising intern works under the chief creative and digital officer and editorial team to ensure product lists are up to the Rank & Style standards from product selection to on-site presentation. The role will include product research, product input, list building and editing within our CMS (content management system), and general site merchandising to ensure story layout is optimized for peak performance.
Interns will gain significant experience within the digital media/ecommerce space. They will learn how to enter products into a content management system to be published for millions of views as well as how to merchandise product selection and presentation for our target audience based on findings within google analytics. All work experience gained in this internship will lead directly to an entry level position in site merchandising/ecommerce merchandising or digital media.
Responsibilities:
- Submitting products through online web-portal
- Submitting of product proposals
- Product updates, images, descriptions within CMS
- Story price and product analysis
- Product and category mapping
- Work with management to visually merchandise the site on a weekly basis
- Perform competitive site analysis
- Assist with online event planning and scheduling
- Other ad-hoc functions
Requirements:
- Pursuing a bachelor’s degree in fashion merchandising with an interest in ecommerce and digital marketing
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong understanding of current trends in fashion, beauty, and lifestyle product categories
- Ability to multitask and work under deadline
- Must be available 2-3 days per week in Austin office
- Must be able to receive college credit

This is an unpaid position based out of our Austin, Texas office. Interns must receive school credit and should be available 2-3 days a week starting late May/early June 2017. The internship will end in August 2017.
