Roffe Accessories is looking for a merchandising/showroom intern in New York City. Roffe Accessories is a men’s and women’s wholesale apparel company. Founded in 1989 by Murray Roffe, Roffe Accessories originally started as a neckwear and accessory company. Roffe Accessories diversified its business in 2002 into men’s and women’s apparel. Today Roffe Accessories is one of the leaders in the industry and known for its innovations in both men’s and women’s apparel and accessories.
Roffe Accessories designs and markets its collections to the luxury market in men’s and women’s woven shirts, belts, wallets, scarves, kimono’s, hosiery and neckwear under several licensed brands.
Responsibilities:
- Coordinating all showroom activities.
- Assist in merchandising men and women’s accessories.
- Assist in appointments with buyers and local NY trade shows.
- Assist in administrative duties such as copy, fax, file, email and mailings.
- Showroom sales and order entry.
- Updating and website maintenance.
- Assist with shipping orders and inventory management.
- Organize company fabric library so that it can be accessed more easily.
- Will also learn a program called Mas200.
Requirements:
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Programs, Photoshop and Illustrator is a plus.
- Good communication and phone skills.
- Must be reliable, punctual, responsible and detail oriented.
- Highly motivated and self-starter.
- Available 2-3 days a week.
- Requires school credit.
