Logistics Intern

Overview:

The Logistics Intern’s primary focus will be to support the Wholesale Logistics team with a variety of day-today tasks and operational functions. The Logistics Intern will gain a valuable understanding of the “flow” of product from Distribution Center to final Customer. The Logistics Intern will work in a “hands-on” environment and will be trained to use intercompany systems/databases.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage Invoices for each Wholesale Customer – Print, file invoices in shared folder by
  • Customer, (and mail if required)
  • Review shipment pre-alert documents
  • Update “Wholesale arrivals” spreadsheet – enter new shipment(s); enter delivery date(s)
  • Manage “Proof of Delivery” or “POD” Folder in shared drive – extract PODs daily from
  • FTP file server and paste into shared drive
  • “Connect” PODs by shipment number in M3 for each customer daily
  • Manage UPS/FedEx Tracking spreadsheet – enter all UPS and FedEx tracking numbers
  • for sample shipments and “small boutique” customers daily
  • Update (as requested) “Purchase Order Verification” spreadsheet – enter new Purchase
  • Order(s) or modify Purchase Order(s) shipping window(s) as per Lanna
  • Assist team with a variety of administrative tasks – i.e. data entry
  •  
    Requirements:

  • Fashion Major preferred but not required
  • Knowledge or interest in : Logistics, Wholesale, Supply Chain Management or
  • Production
  • Highly motivated and dynamic
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Great organizational skills
  • Comfortable with retail math and data analysis
  • Computer skills: Excel**, Power Point, Outlook
