While fashion travels further and further out of the box, minor details haven’t been left behind. Those simple opaque black tights you used to throw under your shorts and skirts have now gotten creative and they aren’t simple anymore.
When it comes to tights there are now a million different types of designs to choose from. Neons, printed, fishnet designs, I could go on and on. Designer Henry Holland, who has become notable for his tights, takes unusual tights design to a new level. As usual, they’ve also been seen on the trendiest celebrities such as Rihanna, who loves a Henry Holland tight, and singer Jessie J. But as college Fashionistas, we’re on a budget and we know what we see on celebrities we can find a lot less expensive. Take this stylish student for example. Her tights are from Topshop for $16 and from what she says (“I love them!”), they’re a pair to definitely try out.
Patterned tights are a good way to spice up an outfit and take it from cute to edgy. This Fashionista made hers the highlight of her ensemble, a good tip to remember if you decide to try an eclectic pair of tights such as leopard print or floral. Everything else comes second to your tights when wearing them so be sure to keep the rest of your outfit toned down.
You can find Henry Holland tights as well as lots of other choices to choose from on ASOS.com. You can also shop Topshop and Hot Topic for a cool pair of tights. When choosing your tights be daring and try a really cool, loud pair. You’ll have fun and everyone on campus will be wishing they have as much guts as you.
