My name is Jessica-Anne, a blogger, beauty lover and a Chinese/Australian mish-mash mix of a girl. But being a hybrid kid means that my style is no less than a fun clash of cultures. Think: the chilled out style of the Aussie beaches, with a love for anything Asian-inspired and adorable, plus a dash of quirky city style flair and you have Jessica-Anne. It is lovely to meet you!
My outfits aren’t complete without cat-eye winged eyeliner, and my love of beauty often sees me accessorize an outfit with a gorgeous look-at-me lippy. I love a patterned chunky knit with coloured jeans and booties in winter or a pair of printed shorts with a slouchy tank in summer, though my fashion pick for the spring would definitely be dressing up in chic vintage-style tea dresses. I’ll happily admit I have a penchant for pretty little dresses – anything with a bit of twirl factor and my heart is won over faster than you can say, “Just add tea and cookies!”
Around RMIT University’s city campus, I’m the third year journalism student sporting a pair of red frames, and I am usually found with a smartphone in hand and a camera in my backpack. One thing that I love about RMIT University is its eclectic variety of stylish students; it’s definitely a university boasting a daring and unpredictable range of fashion lovers!
Plus, calling Melbourne, a city that is full of cultures from all around the world, home means that everyday I come across a fashionable cocktail of individual styles. From impeccably dressed city slickers to effortlessly stylish beach dwellers, or from international labels like TopShop to foreign fashion boutiques, I love living in a city where “fashspiration” is literally around every corner.
Although it will be a gorgeous sunny summer on my side of the world throughout the spring semester, I can’t wait to show you a mix of the laid-back, yet unique style that Melbourne Fashionistas and Fashionistos are famous for. Get ready for a whole lot of wardrobe envy!
