In terms of atmosphere, Paris during Valentine’s Day is the place to be. From the cafes, the storefronts and even the little dogs, the entire city is ablaze with the spell of Saint Valentine. We already know that burgundy is the color of the year, but this week there was a spectrum of rosier colors on the city’s tasteful palette. People made sure to look their absolute best, whether they be basking in the love of their significant other or strutting to the beat of their own drum.
It was a difficult choice with the abundance of beautifully dressed people, but this week I was graced with the presence of Arthur Le Pan-Faberes of Hermès. Our Fashionisto looked sharp in a form fitting coat and rust colored slacks. His wool Massimo Dutti coat paired with a grey Hackett sweater kept him toasty on this deceivingly sunny day. Keeping his top half fairly neutral, he was able to effectively match up a pair of Hermès slacks in rust, giving him a rather festive edge that was appropriate for the city’s mood. The Hamilton watch, as always, has proved to be a great subtle statement piece that is not only practical but stylish. With the utilization of different watch bands (Arthur favors gator) one can really amp up their look without having to try too hard. For the Fashionistos out there that want to look stylish without having to put forth much effort, custom watch bands is a great way to go.
Spotted: The likes of Hugo Boss and Versace channeled their inner Arthur Le Pan this year with red legs strutting down the runway.
