My name is Jennifer and I am currently a sophomore studying Economics and International Studies at Denison University. Although I spend the majority of my year studying in Granville, OH, I still consider Pittsburgh, PA to be my home.
Growing up, I always had an interest in fashion. Whether it was dressing up my dolls or picking my own outfits for school, I always found myself enjoying it. In high school, I was finally given the choice to choose my own outfits for school, since I attended Catholic school for nine years prior with uniforms. Every morning of my high school career I would try and find a way to push the limit on the strict dress code that included a mandatory collared shirt and non-denim pants. I found myself mixing up my outfit every day; one day I might be wearing a blazer and a dress and the next day I would wear sweater and skinny pants and boots. Every day was a way for me to showcase my style.
My day-to-day style constantly changes, but I usually stick to set staples in my closet to ground my choices. When I have a difficult time choosing an outfit I usually go back to the basics. The easiest outfits for me would be just simple white oxfords and jeans, a dress or just an all black outfit. It is difficult for me to narrow down my style to just one word but I have always found myself leaning towards the girlier and classic looks. I get my style inspirations from celebrities like Alexa Chung, Rachel Bilson, Lauren Conrad, and Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen and from flipping through the pages of Elle, Harper’s Bazaar, Glamour and Vogue.
I look forward to showing everyone the most stylist Fashionistas and Fashionistos Denison University has to offer this fall!
