FASHIONISTA SPOTLIGHT: Jane Taylor

Fashionista Spotlight

This Fashionista really caught my eye on campus. I really liked the feminine vintage look with a dash of such an edgy accessory. The details in this dress was nothing a meer camera could ever catch the essence of. From the sheer dolman sleeves to the intense lace front and back, I fell in love with this Fashionista's dress that she bought from Free People. With all the crazy, wacky, “hipster” looks on campus, this outfit was a bit of fresh air and such a great example of being ultimately classy, edgy and glam at the same time.

JT: My mom and art, my two best friends.

JT: I have a lot of combat boots and collars.

JT: I would have to say Fan Thrift, Free People, Goodwill and Need Supply Co.

CF: What style advice would you have to give?

JT: I would tell people to just keep getting dressed until they feel comfortable and good about themselves.

How To:  This Fashionista's choice of brand, Free People, was right on point. It screams her style, which is very dainty and classic. Try finding a great vintage-inspired dress in their collection this fall. Like this Fashionista, add a bit of of an edge to your accessories with a funky geo coloredblock bag. This gives it that feminine look but with just a little roughness around the edges. Also try updating your ballet flat game and update to Urban Outfitter's new suede skimmer flats that are great for the fall season.
