All of the warm and rich colors of fall and winter are one of the many reasons people love the seasons. The scarves, boots and sweaters that have been incognito can finally surface, allowing them to make a statement. It’s almost impossible to see an outfit without one of those pieces. They are essential and stylish for the cooler weather. The color-rich ensemble that this Fashionista is wearing caught my attention immediately, but then my eyes went straight to the boots. There was a time in the fashion world when the skirts became shorter and the boots became taller.
Over the knee boots hit the fashion scene a few years ago all over the fall 2009 runways. They can be found in suede and leather varieties, different shades and varying heel heights. I am a fan of this thigh-high trend, giving me an alternative to my equestrian style boots. A few seasons ago, there was and still remains a trend of wearing high socks sticking out the top of the boot. The boots covering the knees seems as an alternative to that trend and replace the socks with patterned or colored tights and leggings.
Taller boots are beneficial in elongating your appearance. They draw eyes up towards the center of the outfit. They are great with skinny jeans and leggings for a casual look. Finding bold boots like the STEVEN Caballero Boot can help create a simple go-to outfit by pairing solid pieces together and letting your footwear stand out. If you’re interested in a more basic boot, Sam Edelman has a chestnut color equestrian style that is embellished with gold buckles and a gold zipper. Different embellishments such as buckles, straps and zippers are a way for Fashionistas to customize each boot to her personal style. Boots are the basic for fall and winter. If you don’t have a pair, take time to search and invest in a worthy pair. They usually last a few seasons, so a good pair is worth the money.
