Thrift store meets vintage meets eccentric defines this Fashionista’s style. Sophia is not afraid of putting her own footprints—in her worn out combat boots—on the latest trends and mix in pieces from her mother’s closet. Her love of printed tights makes her stand out in the best way and perfectly matches her friendly and bold personality.

CollegeFashionista: What inspires your style?
Sophia June: Looking at people. The weather, also; I love the seasons.
CF: What’s your favorite season to dress for?
SJ: Fall.
CF: What is your favorite fall clothing?
SJ: Patterned tights.
CF: What are your favorite stores to shop at?
SJ: I really like Nobody’s Baby down on 13th and Hilyard; it’s a vintage store. I like Urban Outfitters, and I also love pieces that my family had. My watch was my grandma’s and my sweater was my mom’s.
CF: What style advice would you give girls to dress for cold weather?
SJ: Even though it’s cold, I would say just have fun with it. Wear tights, knee-highs, scarves and hats. Embrace color even though it’s grey outside.
How To: To achieve Sophia’s downtown vibe, find a cotton A-line skirt in a neutral color. Tuck in a chiffon white blouse that’s loose fitting. Forever 21 has a wide variety of inexpensive tops that define hipster-chic. Cinch a leather belt around your waist and throw on your favorite oversized cardigan to keep warm. Buy a wild pair of patterned tights that best suits your personality and tie up your go-to combat boots. Finish the look with a classic messenger bag and your vintage-inspired accessories. These can also be really fun to search for while thrift shopping!
