Sometimes in the midst of winter we get one of those freak weeks when the temperature hits the '70s, and all of a sudden it’s a scramble to find something to wear that won't make you sweat uncontrollably. Don’t fear, because this Fashionista is here; there really is no need to get frazzled on those mornings with spring-like temperatures. If your winter and cold weather outfits consist of layering, as they should be, then the solution is simple: take off some of the layers!
Think of the things that you would normally throw a cardigan over, or a leather jacket on top, and just use the base layers as the main layer. This week’s Fashionista pairs a great nautical inspired, peplum cotton top with one of the top colors of this year, mustard. If you have read any of my previous posts, which you should, you would know I’m a huge fan of colored pants on both men and women. This Fashionista’s mustard pants, and the whole outfit in general, looks as if it came straight out of a J.Crew catalog, and needless to say, who doesn’t want to look like they represent this unbelievably trendy company?
This Fashionista finishes the look off with some serious boots. Not only do you hear these boots coming down the halls, but you feel them. It’s a perfect complement to the nautical look, not by fitting right in but by shocking the senses and making everyone take a double take.
When those freak warm streaks hit in the winter, don’t worry, cherish them.
